IAS Management Services is an Australian based consultancy company established in 2002. The company consists of seven directors all of whom have had long and distinguished careers servicing Animal Industries in Australia and Internationally. The directors are Dr Kit Parke, Dr Kevin Sullivan, Dr Greg Marr, Dr Alan King, Mr Ron Lakin, Mr John Riley and Mr Rick Humphreys.

The expertise of the group covers animal health, production, quality assurance, training, finance, and environment issues relating to animal production.

The Directors of IAS have co-operated closely over a number of years in Research and Development, Enterprise Management and Quality Assurance Projects for the Animal Industries. Their range of skills covers all species but the group has placed special emphasis on servicing the needs of the Intensive Animal Industries.

• Antibiotic Use Guidelines for the Australian Pig Industry funded by Pig Research and Development Corporation (PRDC).
• National Pig Industry Training Audit (PRDC).
• DDB Shareholders Development Program (funded by DDB and PRDC)
• HACCP Plan for Breeding Management (PRDC).
• Environmental Code of Practice for the Queensland Pig Industry (Queensland DPI).
• Pig Industry Animal Welfare Code of Practice - through Australian Association of Pig Veterinarians and APL Animal Welfare Consultancy Group.
• Federal Government funded Food Fisheries and Forestry, Farm Biz Program (Pork Biz).
• People Management Program for the Pig Industry supported by Farm Biz/Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority.
• Feasibilities Studies including Risk Management on development projects in commercial, institutional and research fields.
• Develop Business Plans for Agribusiness
• APL Group Demonstration and continuous improvement programs

The Directors of IAS Management Services understand the changes being forced on Animal Production Enterprises as Global Trade moves away from traditional protectionist policies.

To survive and prosper in this new environment rural enterprises will need to continually search for innovative methods of reducing costs and increasing outputs.
